One month every year, five highly competitive friends hit the ground running for a no-holds-barred game of tag — risking their necks, their jobs and their relationships to take one another down. This time, the game coincides with the wedding of the only undefeated player. What should be an easy target soon becomes an all-out war as he knows they’re coming to get him.

No wonder God cannot give His joy to sinful men as they would defile it unto fun.

Personally, I wouldn’t trade 1 hour of pure joy in the Holy Spirit for all the fun in the world.

Jesus is known as a man of sorrows, which He was, and in the mist of such sorrows, God gave Jesus the joy of the Holy Spirit.

At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do. Luke 10:21

At the time of the 2013 Wall Street Journal article that inspired the movie, the group of men had been playing the game of tag for 23 years, starting in 1990. The year of the movie’s release, 2018, marked 28 years of playing tag. The movie rounds up and states that the men have been playing the same game of tag for 30 years, which isn’t all that far from the true story.
