Confessing Sex History

NEW YORK — Being honest, open, and transparent is important in any relationship, but what about when it comes to airing your dirtiest secrets? It’s natural to be curious about a partner’s past, but a new survey finds many people struggle dishing the details from their own rap sheets.

Psychological confession of sexual history will not empower a permanent fix when it comes to informing a partner about past sexual activity.

Fact is, it can easily destroy the need for deepening a relationship.

The Confessional booth is merely hiding in the dark about one’s sin and playing a con game with the Living God.

A Confessional Booth will not empower a permanent fix to overcome sexual sinning and will only increase God’s anger. (This should be rather clear to those who are observing the Catholic Church at the moment.)

Lying to yourself, or letting yourself be lied to about your sexual identity will not only destroy you to the core but make you a one dimensional individual fixated on sexual orientation. However confessing your sexual sin of embracing a lie will set you free in the Truth.

Be careful as not only can confessing sexual sin destroy a marriage, or whatever thingy you call your relationship, but it will do zero to clean you up if such a confession is not done in the power of God.

Here is a Light that will work. As a side note this is not “conversion therapy” but transforming repentance.

However, be warned, confessing your sexual sins with any old-Christian schmuck is merely the blind leading the blind and both of you will fall into the bottomless pit. Seek out a godly individual who knows the power of God that comes from picking up a daily cross and walking in the Light.

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives. (1 John 1:7-10)

[ Warning ]

For those who “claim” they have “not sinned” sexually – well – don’t think everyone is as stupid as you are. It is obvious what constitutes sexual sin.

The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like.

I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.  (Galatians 5:19-23)

It is also obvious that God is offering you truth, love, joy, peace and self-control.

Your action, or lack of action makes it obvious what you have chosen.
