Godless fairy tales seldom work.  Never confuse religion with following Jesus.

“Woe to the obstinate children,” declares the Lord , “to those who carry out plans that are not mine, forming an alliance, but not by my Spirit, heaping sin upon sin; (Isaiah 30:1)

[ Bonus Wisdom ]

A godly marriage, well, has God empowering servant-hood towards one another.  Husband to wife empowered love and wife to husband love empowered.

This power is not by striving for a godly marriage but by surrendering to God’s power that will work and will the love. Trouble is one, or both do not desire to surrender themselves to God for His love in the marriage.

Stupid I know. Selfish?, yep. Outright self-destructive to the concept of marriage – to be sure. Will it miss all the joy and happiness in a marriage? Sure. But when did Truth ever stop anyone from sinning who is determined to live a lie?

The above noted, I testify that there is indeed a power to love others that comes not from man’s ability, but from God who gives His love freely to those who hate their own lives.1

…and who also told us of your love in the Spirit. (Colossians 1:8)
