This power is not by striving for a godly marriage but by surrendering to God’s power that will work and will the love. Trouble is one, or both do not desire to surrender themselves to God for His love in the marriage.

Stupid I know. Selfish?, yep. Outright self-destructive to the concept of marriage – to be sure. Will it miss all the joy and happiness in a marriage? Sure. But when did Truth ever stop anyone from sinning who is determined to live a lie?

The above noted, I testify that there is indeed a power to love others that comes not from man’s ability, but from God who gives His love freely to those who hate their own lives.1
