Independence Day 2018
Independence Day, also referred to as the Fourth of July or July Fourth, is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. The Continental Congress declared that the thirteen American colonies regarded themselves as a new nation, the United States of America, and were no longer part of the British Empire.[1] The Congress actually voted to declare independence two days earlier, on July 2.[1] Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, and political speeches and ceremonies, in addition to various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States. Independence Day is the National Day of the United States.[2][3][4]

Sweet true Independence Day 2018
July 4, 2018
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1)
There is still much slavery in the United States of America.
Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. (John 8:34)
The United States may rejoice in their Independence Day, but only those conquering and overcoming their sins are truly celebrating freedom.
To everyone who conquers and continues to do my works to the end, I will give authority over the nations; Revelation 2:26
[ Bonus Wisdom ]
Aw, sweet, sweet freedom and sweeter independence given by Jesus.
If I had fireworks I would set them off in thanks.
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. (John 8:36)
