Pilot of the ship has years of safe sailing experience.
The Owner of the ship is highly motivated to protect his ship.
So what could Paul, a Pharisee, a cult-land-lover-leader possibly know about sailing a ship?1
Best to listen to the godly who have eyes in their head then to the ungodly who refuse to see.2
“Men, I can see that our voyage is going to be disastrous and bring great loss to ship and cargo, and to our own lives also.” But the centurion, instead of listening to what Paul said, followed the advice of the pilot and of the owner of the ship. (Acts 27:10-11)
End of Story: Paul saved everyone on board the ship inspite of the stupidity of the Pilot and Owner. I would recommend the sermon, “Let Your Lifeboat Go” but the State of Washington destroys anything associated with Timothy Williams. Either way a person listening to the sermon would be offended and have to think – a big, big no-no in the church these days.
