His Snow Blast * Use Wisely *

His Snow Blast * Use Wisely *

Be smart, use God’s snow blast for your good.

Go home – stop doing – prepare to repent.

He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ and to the rain shower, ‘Be a mighty downpour.’  So that all men he has made may know his work, he stops every man from his labor. The animals take cover; they remain in their dens.  The tempest comes out from its chamber, the cold from the driving winds.  The breath of God produces ice, and the broad waters become frozen.   (Job 37:6-10)

he most powerful storm of this winter season started last night in the nation’s capital and was morphing into a painful blizzard with gale-force winds pushing heavy snow and coastal flooding, as at least 10 people have been killed.

One in seven Americans could get at least half a foot of snow by Sunday, and Washington could see snowdrifts more than four feet high.

Much heavier snow and wind gusting to 60 mph should create blinding whiteout conditions once the storm joins up with a low pressure system off the coast, said Bruce Sullivan, a forecaster at the National Weather Service’s Weather Prediction Center in College Park, Maryland.

Two feet or more of snowfall is forecast for Washington and Baltimore, and nearly as much for Philadelphia.

New York City’s expected total was upped Friday to 18 to 24 inches. But Sullivan said ‘the winds are going to be the real problem; that’s when we’ll see possible power outages.’
