Val Kilmer Appears Frail
Val Kilmer believes in the Christian Science faith which shuns doctors.
While appreciating his obedience to his belief, Mr. Kilmer should consider that King Asa had the opposite belief – he only sought his doctors.
In the thirty-ninth year of his reign Asa was afflicted with a disease in his feet. Though his disease was severe, even in his illness he did not seek help from the Lord , but only from the physicians. (2 Chronicles 16:12)
With Jesus, there is a narrow gate for which seeing a doctor is a wise thing to do, but putting one’s faith in them is idolatry.
Hopefully, Mr. Kilmer will, as he becomes weaker, cry out to a very real, alive and personal Jesus that bids him to go through the narrow gate and walk the narrow road.
Sad, most miss both.
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. (Matthew 7:13-14)
But not to worry, Val Kilmer’s family probably would not like him being a true Christian either. From the courthouse to the carport all anyone seems to accept today is godlessness while spending all one has to live another hopeless day.
For those few true disciples of Jesus left, let us pray that Mr. Kilmer escapes all of this and finds the Living God.
